Training Resources - DFAWG and Teepa Snow

Welcome to a collection of teaching video clips developed by members of the Dementia-Friendly Airports Working Group and Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care®, filmed in partnership with Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

These video clips are a gift to you. The scenarios portrayed in the clips are situations that are commonly encountered in an airport when travelers are living with dementia and other forms of brain change. We hope you will use the video clips to inform your airport staff, including airline employees, volunteers, retail, contractors, security, etc., of effective responses to help improve experiences for both customers and staff.

Please acknowledge Dementia-Friendly Airports Working Group, Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care® and Charlotte Douglas International Airport anytime you use these video clips. Members of the Dementia-Friendly Airports Working Group and Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care® donated their time and skills to write, film, and produce these video clips for your use. Charlotte Douglas International Airport generously allowed us to film these videos in their airport to provide the appropriate and meaningful context for these scenarios.

We are eager to learn about your use of these scenarios. Please share details about how you use these video clips, your comments, and any questions by emailing: dementiafriendlyairports@gmail.com
